We are using Adobe Photoshop and set the dimension to 3000 by 3000 and resolution to 72 dpi and the color mode to RGB. Create the artboard. I do set 72 dpi because we are making the screen graphics and set a profile to sRGB.

This is latest version of adobe photoshop may be your screen appear differently, set the same dimension if you are using the old version.

Create artboard: When you set the setting like this then hit the create button then a window appears.

This type of window appears, I am using the adobe photoshop workspace essential classic. Now apply, some solid color or gradient to the background, we are going to use the same. I recommend you to work on different layers. press the new layer button or create the solid color.

Create New layers and fill the layer with color and solid color, you can see the red arrow pointing to the location from you can create a new layer.

Now fill the color with the paint bucket tool or create with the shape tool, it’s up to you. According to my use of the shape tool which is easy to understand and easily you can fill the color.

In the next step fill the color and place the portrait size image on the artboard, which with straight focal point.

You can check fill color with rectangle tool or using paint bucket tool, there are so many different methods you can use for this purposes. In the next step, you can check place the place the Image on the artboard using drag and drop method or you can go to file and check the place embbed option. i try to explain you can create your own podcast cover.

We place the image on the artboard or you can say the canvas, I do place it in the middle, I suggest you do an experiment to drag the image with the move tool where your image looks good, I take the image with a straight focal point, maybe you have left or right face image.

In this next step i am using the stroke brushes which is available on the google just search “stroke brushes for photoshop” you can get free brushes, brushes help you to make your podcast cover perfect.

I put the stroke on the background , check the layers name, the background for podcast cover art in in the bottom, then i arrange the stroke with the brush tool, then i place the image in the top level section.
